Feliz Navidad, bitches! I don’t know about ya’ll, but when I picture a family gathering around the holidays, I can’t imagine it being complete without tequila. How To Float Allspice Berries On Top

So this comes down to some pretty simple science. This cocktail features a thicker liquid (namely, almond milk). Since the allspice berries are less dense than the finished cocktail, if you are careful you can get them to sit right on top and look all fancy.

What Makes This Cocktail So Christmas-y?

On top of having the creamy texture from the almond milk, I also used my homemade clove syrup and cinnamon syrup to add some holiday spice. A little bit of orgeat syrup brings out the nuttiness in the almond milk (giggity) and my homemade orange liqueur throws a bit more spice and helps make the tart cranberry pop. I added a nice cinnamon sugar rim to round it out.

How To Make A Christmas Tequila Cocktail

It’s pretty simple really. Go ahead and rim your rocks glass with cinnamon sugar. You’re gonna add all the liquids into a shaker and shake a little shorter than you would for a cocktail that has a higher alcohol ratio (don’t want to water it down). This one ended up with a tiny little head of foam that helped elevate the drinking experience. I threw a couple allspice berries on top for the ‘gram.
