For the Holiday Gin and Tonic I took the standard gin and tonic and added some holiday-adjacent flavors. It’s going to be a bit sweeter than a typical G&T, but I think the tonic bitterness keeps it in check! Enjoy!

What Is A Gin And Tonic?

A gin and tonic is a cocktail that is literally just two ingredients that you stir up in the glass. I love them because clean-up is a breeze. No shaker, no mixing glass. Everything is constructed in the glass you’re going to drink it out of. Gin and tonics are characterized by gin, but more importantly the tonic, a carbonated liquid that adds sweetness and a bitter aftertaste as well. They are super refreshing, which is why I wanted a holiday gin and tonic in my arsenal for an easy win. Dealing with extended family ain’t easy. This cocktail is here to help.

How To Make A Holiday Gin And Tonic

This thing couldn’t be easier. You literally add everything to a glass and stir like some kind of chemistry experiment. For your tummy. For that holiday twist, I use apple cider and my homemade cinnamon syrup. It ends up adding a bit of sweetness vs the normal recipe, but it’s an incredibly drinkable cocktail that just puts me in a good mood when my uncle starts talking politics.

Add everything to a highball glass filled with ice and stir to combine/chill. Don’t worry if all 5oz of tonic don’t fit, just fill ‘er up to the top and be happy. Throw a straw in it or something and drink that puppy. I threw an apple slice on top for aesthetic but that’s optional.
